Elder Scrolls Online All Expansions and DLC in Order
Posted: 2024-05-09
After 10 years of content within The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), it can be hard to track the true order of expansions and DLC. This guide will list all the content by release date and cover where you should start ahead of Gold Road. The first true ESO DLC is the Imperial City, which was released in August 2015. It wasn’t until Morrowind in 2017 that annual Chapters became part of the yearly content model. However, the model continues to change, and you can find the order of them all since 2015 below: Imperial City (August 2015) – PvP Zone, White Gold Tower, Imperial City Prison. Orsinium (November 2015) – First major zone expansion with the addition of Wrothgar. Thieves Guild (March 2016) – New skill line, Hew’s Bane zone, and a faction story. Dark Brotherhood (May 2016) – New skill line, Gold Coast zone, and a faction story. Shadows of the Hist (August 2016) – Dungeon DLC that includes Ruins of Mazzatun and Cradle of Shadows. Morrowind (June 2017) – First Chapter expansion that introduces the Warden Class, the Vvardenfell zone, and the Halls of Fabrication Trial. Horns of the Reach (August 2017) – Dungeon DLC that includes Bloodroot Forge and Falkreath Hold. Clockwork City (October 2017) – Zone DLC that includes the Asylum Sanctorium Trial. Dragon Bones (February 2018) – Dungeon DLC that includes Scalecaller Peak and Fang Lair. Summerset (June 2018) – Chapter expansion with Summerset zone, Psijic Order skill line, and the Cloudrest Trial. Wolfhunter (August 2018) – Dungeon DLC that includes Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. Murkmire (October 2018) – Zone DLC that brings Murkmire to the game. Wrathstone (February 2019) – Dungeon DLC that includes Depths of Malatar and Frostvault. Elsweyr (May 2019) – The first Chapter expansion in the year-long story cycle. Adds Northern Elsweyr, the Necromancer Class, and the Sunspire Trial. Scalebreaker (August 2019) – Dungeon DLC that includes Lair of Maarselok and Moongrave Fane. Dragonhold (October 2019) – Zone DLC that adds Southern Elsweyr and concludes the year of the dragon. Harrowstorm (February 2020) – Dungeon DLC that includes Icereach and Unhallowed Grave. Greymoor (May 2020) – Chapter expansion that adds Western Skyrim, Scrying skill line, and the Kyne’s Aegis Trial. Stonethorn (August 2020) – Dungeon DLC that includes Stone Garden and Castle Thorn. Markarth (November 2020) – Zone DLC that adds The Reach and concludes the Skyrim year. Flames of Ambition (March 2021) – Dungeon DLC that includes The Cauldron and Black Drake Villa. Blackwood (June 2021) – Chapter expansion that adds the Blackwood zone, a Companions system, and the Rockgrove Trial. Waking Flame (August 2021) – Dungeon DLC that includes Red Petal Bastion and The Dread Cellar. Deadlands (November 2021) – Zone DLC that brings the Deadlands and Fargrave with the end of the Gates of Oblivion. Ascending Tide (March 2022) – Dungeon DLC that includes Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret. High Isle (June 2022) – Chapter expansion that adds High Isle, the Tales of Tribute card game, and the Dreadsail Reef dungeon. Lost Depths (August 2022) – Dungeon DLC that includes Graven Deep and Earthen Root Enclave. Firesong (November 2022) – Zone DLC that brings Galen as the final content drop in year-long stories. Scribes of Fate (March 2023) – Dungeon DLC that includes Scrivener’s Hall and Bal Sunnar. Necrom (June 2023) – Chapter expansion that adds the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha with a story that will take place over multiple Chapters. Also brings the Arcanist class and the Sanity’s Edge Trial. Infinite Archive (November 2023) – Free DLC that adds an unlimited round-based dungeon to ESO. Scions of Ithelia (March 2024) – Dungeon DLC that includes Bedlam Veil and Oathsworn Pit. Gold Road (June 2024) – Chapter expansion that will continue the story of Necrom and add Spell Crafting to the game. Many of the expansions and DLCs in ESO are bundled into a year or two. However, you don’t need to play them all in order to understand Gold Road when it launches. If you want to stay up to date, just make sure to complete Necrom and the dungeon DLC for that year to get the full picture. The Elder Scrolls Online will give players free houses next month
Posted: 2024-04-30
May's Elder Scrolls Online login rewards have been announced and a free house is up for grabs and you won't have to wait long either. Since 2018 Elder Scrolls Online players have been rewarded for the simple act of logging in. Each month comes with its own rewards track giving players a little incentive to not just pop into the game but head in every single day. Now, some of May’s rewards have been released for ESO and players are looking down the barrel at one of the most rewarding months since the system was first introduced. There are two surprises for players in May’s Elder Scrolls Online login rewards. The first is that unlike most months in the MMORPG, where costumes, currency, crates, so many fortifying meals, and the occasional pet or housing item are given away, there’s something extremely meaty being dropped. Next month players will be able to get their own house, for free. There are other free houses in the game, from a room in an inn to ones granted for completing certain quests, but as far as we’re aware this is the first time an entire player house has been included in the daily login rewards track. The second surprise is that, unlike most months, you won’t have to wait long to get this reward. Usually months are structured with the big items at the end, encouraging players to log in more to receive them. In May, however, players will grab their new house after only three logins. With the new Gold Road chapter around the corner and the game in the middle of its ten year anniversary celebrations, it’s fitting that Zenimax Online Studios is starting May off with a bang. The house in question is the Sword-Singer’s Redoubt, located on the border between the Alik’r Desert and Bangkorai, right in the middle of Redguard territory. Also known as the Alik’r Oasis, this house is classed as a manor, making it one of the largest and most opulent kinds of house you can get your hands on. For those who like to travel by foot, its location also makes it the only route between the two zones for any adventuring pavement-pounders. Zenimax Online Studios hasn’t shown off the full month’s rewards just yet but also on the cards are Scalecaller Crown Crates, Seals of Endeavor, Xanmeer Crown Crates, and my favorite – a Bruma Spotted Pig pet, who looks absolutely adorable. From Wednesday, May 1, players will be able to see the full reward list by logging in, with more “spectacular” things being teased by the developer. The Elder Scrolls Online Details Fix for Login Issues and Compensation for Impacted Players

ZeniMax Online Studios outlines how it will deal with the incident that led to several The Elder Scrolls Online accounts being locked. Players of The Elder Scrolls Online who were temporarily locked out of their accounts due to server issues will receive compensation in the form of in-game items, developer ZeniMax Online Studios revealed as it outlined how it will deal with the incident. The Bethesda Softworks-published MMORPG recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. On April 15, a new build of the Public Test Server for The Elder Scrolls Online went live, providing players with the opportunity to check out the content that will roll out in the game's upcoming Gold Road expansion. ZeniMax Online Studios, however, took down the beta client's server over an issue, a move that resulted in the game's live PC NA server experiencing a problem and being shut down as well. Some players were unable to access their accounts as their characters were locked because of the incident, so ZeniMax Online Studios will give those who were affected a number of in-game items to compensate them for their troubles. In a post on The Elder Scrolls Online forums, ZeniMax Online Studios Senior Community Manager Gina Bruno said that accounts which were locked following the recent PTS and PC NA server shutdowns will receive 16,000 Seals of Endeavor, 5 Glorious Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes, and 25 Jubilee Confetti Packs, among other things. She added that the affected accounts were restored to their April 15 states during an April 25 server maintenance. Seals of Endeavor are a currency used in the game's Crown Crate cash shop, a major element in The Elder Scrolls Online's controversial monetization system. Meanwhile, the Jubilee items are part of The Elder Scrolls Online's Anniversary Jubilee Event, which was also extended by two days to April 25 for all PC players because of the server issues. April marked the 10th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls Online, and plenty of free content, including a prologue for the Gold Road expansion, was released to coincide with the celebration. Players can use Style Pages to change the appearance of equipment in The Elder Scrolls Online, which is set to introduce even more customization options through the upcoming Gold Road chapter's new Scribing system. Compensation will be sent to affected PC players on May 6 via The Elder Scrolls Online's in-game mail system, while console users will receive theirs upon logging into their accounts. This is around a month before the June 18 release of the Gold Road expansion, which will, aside from introducing new content, finally address a plot hole in The Elder Scrolls Online. Additionally, any The Elder Scrolls Online Plus subscribers whose accounts were locked can claim a month's worth of the service and 1,650 crowns for free through the game's website on May 6 as well. You can get the Thieves Guild DLC free this month in Elder Scrolls Online
Posted: 2024-04-18
The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, and that means free stuff. From now until April 29, 2024, you can get the Thieves Guild DLC for free. All you have to do is be a thief and pick a pocket. That’s not a tall order, and I’ll give you some guidance in a moment. The DLC in question does not just include thieving, but a whole questline that takes place in its own region of Tamriel (Hew’s Bane in Hammerfell). It’s a meaty piece of content and necessary if you want to visit as many regions of Tamriel as possible. Plus, progressing through the Thieves Guild questline will net you some pretty swell skills. In order to get this DLC, all you need to do is pickpocket someone. Once the Pocket Picker achievement is unlocked, you can then go into the in-game Store and claim the DLC. If you’ve already done this (or even progressed the achievement’s ranks), then the DLC will already be waiting to claim. It will be added to your account in perpetuity. You can also get a free mount once you have the DLC. You just need to get the Hew’s Bane Cave Delver achievement, which is done by completing the region’s two delves by defeating their bosses. Finally, if you find you enjoy crime, the Dark Brotherhood DLC is also available during this time, and it pairs quite well with stealing. All this runs from now until April 29, 2024. How to pickpocket in Elder Scrolls Online Crime is a great business opportunity, so here’s how to pickpocket. Keep in mind, not every NPC can be pickpocketed, but most of them can, including guards. Simply crouch down into the sneaking position, then approach an NPC. The eye symbol over your reticle will tell you if you are currently visible to anyone in the area. You’ll want it to be closed and telling you that you’re hidden. If you try to swipe something while someone is looking, it will fail and a bounty will be placed on your head. With that in mind, approach an NPC’s butt. When you’re close enough, it will tell you the NPC name, the word “Pickpocket,” their rank in brackets, and the success chance. The success chance will start off on an initial percentage, but after a short period will go up into an ideal window when the text is green. You’ll want to try and nab your prize while the text is green and the chance is higher. If you’re successful, you’ll gain a stolen item based on what rank the NPC is (commoner in the picture). You can then try again two more times for more loot. If they catch you, they may attack, or they’ll just look at you sternly, and you’ll have a bounty automatically applied to your head. Stolen goods need to be sold at a Thieves Guild location, which are typically found in a region’s major city.
