While Royal Kingdom’s initial earnings fell short compared to other major 2024 game launches, its player spending has shown steady growth since its global release, according to estimates from AppMagic. On November 22, the game achieved its first six-figure daily earnings, reaching $107,000—a 35% increase from November 21. This upward trend continued, with revenues climbing to $135,000 on November 24, marking a new daily record for the title.
To support the launch, Dream Games collaborated with creative studio Psyop to produce a teaser and a full cinematic trailer. Directed by Doug Sweetland and Marie Hyon, the trailer explores the story of King Robert and his brother King Richard, focusing on Richard’s efforts to rebuild his kingdom with the help of loyal allies. “Our goal was to craft a world as captivating as the gameplay itself, where every character, moment, and detail adds depth and excitement to the story,” said Sweetland and Hyon.
As Dream Games builds on the success of Royal Match—a dominant title in the match-3 genre—the question remains whether Royal Kingdom will draw players away from its predecessor. For now, Royal Match continues to maintain its position as a leader in the mobile gaming market, while Royal Kingdom steadily carves out its own path.
